UNDER THE AEGIS OF THE FONDATION APPRENTIS D’AUTEUIL<\/h5>\n

The Fondation Foujita<\/h2>\n

L\u00e9onard Tsuguharu Foujita (1886\u20131968) always showed great tenderness and kindness toward children, whom he often depicted in his works, even though he never experienced the joy of fatherhood<\/strong>. That is why his wife Kimiyo, true to the artist\u2019s spirit and the affection he had for them, bequeathed the moral and economic rights to his entire body of work to Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil<\/a> upon her death in 2009.<\/p>\n

To keep this legacy alive and pay tribute to the artist, Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil established the Fondation Foujita <\/strong>in 2011 under its auspices. The foundation\u2019s official launch took place in the presence of Mr. Komatsu, the Japanese Ambassador to France. <\/p>\n

Furthermore, in order to support the work of the Fondation Foujita, the Board of Directors of Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil has decided to systematically allocate the royalties collected and to be collected by Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil to the Fondation Foujita <\/strong>, unless otherwise specified by the donor or testator. The estate of Marie Laurencin<\/strong>, bequeathed to Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil, therefore falls under this framework. <\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]As heir to the artist, the Fondation Foujita is committed to protecting, promoting and bringing to life the work and history of Foujita<\/strong>, a multi-talented, engaging and inspiring figure, and to promoting the sharing of knowledge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Using revenue from copyright royalties and donations it receives, the Foujita Foundation\u2014a committed organization \u2014 funds the \u201cArts for<\/em><\/b> <\/a>Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil <\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u201d program, which develops artistic and cultural outreach projects to promote the education, training, and social integration of young people and families facing academic, social, or family difficulties<\/strong> who are supported by Apprentis d\u2019Auteuil and its partners.<\/p>\n
