UNDER THE AEGIS OF THE FONDATION APPRENTIS D’AUTEUIL<\/h5>\n

The Fondation Foujita<\/h2>\n

L\u00e9onard Tsuguharu Foujita (1886 – 1968) always showed great tenderness and kindness towards children, whom he often depicted in his works without ever experiencing the joy of being a father.<\/strong> This is why his wife Kimiyo, faithful to the artist’s spirit and the affection he had for them, bequeathed the moral and patrimonial rights to all his work to the foundation on his death in 2009. Apprentis d’Auteuil<\/a>a non-profit organization that has been helping the most vulnerable young people and families for nearly 160 years.<\/p>\n

To keep this legacy alive and pay tribute to them, the Fondation Foujita was created in 2011, under the aegis of the Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As heir to the artist, the Fondation Foujita is committed to protecting, promoting and bringing to life the work and history of Foujita<\/strong>, a multi-talented, engaging and inspiring figure, and to promoting the sharing of knowledge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Fondation Foujita uses the income from its royalties and the donations it receives to develop projects involving artistic practice and cultural openness, with the aim of promoting the education, training and integration of young people and families with educational, social or family difficulties<\/strong> supported by Apprentis d’Auteuil and its partners.<\/p>\n
