This intercultural and intergenerational artistic project, And you, how do you eat?<\/em>, was conceived by teams from the<\/strong> Marcel Callo educational center of the Apprentis d’Auteuil<\/strong><\/a> in Oise and <\/strong>Diaphane, the Hauts-de-France photographic center.<\/strong><\/a>. Il a permis \u00e0 cinq jeunes accompagn\u00e9s par <\/strong>It enabled five young people supported by Apprentis d’Auteuil <\/strong><\/a>and three elderly people from the <\/strong>La Compassion residence in Cauffry <\/strong><\/a>to meet and share their cultures, with the help of artists<\/strong> Valentine Vermeil<\/a><\/strong>, photographer, and Marion Messina, writer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Between transmission and sharing
\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The participants first got to know each other over coffee at La Compassion<\/strong>. They were then divided into two groups for two sessions of workshops organized over three days during the school vacations<\/strong>. The program for the 1st<\/sup> session included a visit to the Liancourt and Creil markets, still-life and portrait photography and writing sessions. On the final day, they worked together to create a menu imagined by their elders. During the 2nd<\/sup> session, they visited the Ti-Bonheurs farm in La Neuville-en-Hez. This visit also enabled them to discover or deepen their knowledge of agricultural products and trades. Then they worked on still life and staging. And on the final day, they gathered around a menu designed by the young people themselves. \u201cFrom the earth to the plate”: these last days of the sessions, dedicated to creating the menu and preparing the meal, were moments of culmination, of opening up to others and sharing their culture through a meal<\/strong>. This intercultural and intergenerational artistic project encouraged participants to talk about their backgrounds and cultures, to affirm their tastes, and to share moments of conviviality and complicity.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1726841041467{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}” el_class=”titre_sympa”]<\/p>\n

A human and artistic discovery<\/strong><\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]This workshop also had an artistic dimension<\/strong>. They worked with Valentine Vermeil and Marion Messina on still lifes <\/strong>and portraits<\/strong>, staging <\/strong>and writing<\/strong>. What’s more, thanks to the presence of a sound producer sent by the Diagonal network<\/a>, they were able to create a podcast <\/strong>about the project – which you can listen to by clicking here!<\/a> The last days of the sessions were dedicated to creating the menu and preparing the meal. These were moments of culmination, of opening up to others and sharing one’s culture through a meal<\/strong>. Afterwards, two moments of restitution were organized. The first, in the intimacy of La Compassion residence, where participants shared their stories and visited the exhibition.
