He compared it to making a woman’s garment: respecting the body, the text, and enhancing the silhouette, the book object. Foujita’s illustration work covers a wide range of techniques and subjects.
In addition to book illustration, Foujita created posters for prestigious institutions, such as the SNCF’s Normandie train and Isabey perfumes.
